Personal car ownership grew rapidly in the 1950s, and with it came the need to again expand and modernise. By 1961 a new forecourt and service facilities had been built. Further expansion took place in the mid 1970s which saw the completion of a new showroom and agricultural stores. The showroom incorporated a range of offices with ample space for the display of between ten and twelve new cars. A new stores building was built too which included offices for the agricultural department.
The car and agricultural workshops occupied the entire site on which the Tesco supermarket now stands, together with Cromwell Barn, (Currently a health and fitness centre) and Norfolk property agents Sowerbys. The company continued trading in Oak Street until closure in 1995.
