Archiving and Reminiscing our memories of Yesterday |
|
Fakenham and District Community Archive was founded in 2002 by an enthusiastic group of volunteers dedicated to building and maintaining a digital photographic and oral history archive of local memories - all of which have kindly been donated by people from Fakenham and nearby villages.
The entire community archive collection is available to explore during our public archive sessions which are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 2.00 – 4.00 pm in Fakenham Parish Church.
During our public sessions you can search the whole archive on our laptop computers, watch a slideshow, view our photo displays and look through our huge collection of scrapbooks and press cuttings.
Any interesting local photos or memories that you have which could be added to the community archive are always welcome; you can bring these along to be scanned into the archive and returned the same day.
All are welcome to come along and join us for a sociable afternoon over tea, coffee and a biscuit. - A voluntary donation on arrival includes refreshments and would be much appreciated to help cover our expenses. Please check our news page for any changes to our schedule. |
