Welcome to Fakenham & District Community ArchiveA digital archive of local pictures and memories Based in Fakenham Norfolk, we are an enthusiastic group of volunteers who through the support of public donations, are dedicated to building and maintaining a digital photographic and oral history archive of pictures and memories from Fakenham and nearby villages. This website features just a small selection of the thousands of interesting pictures which have been donated to us since the Archive was founded in 2002.
We meet regularly in Fakenham Parish Church on the last Tuesday of each month from 2.00 - 4.00 pm, where you are invited to join us for a sociable couple of hours of friendly chat and reminiscing over a cup of tea and a biscuit. At our meetings you can bring photos for scanning into the archive - which will immediately be returned, watch a slideshow, browse photo albums, scrapbooks and documents, listen to recordings of people recounting their memories or search the whole archive on our laptops. Please check our news page for any changes to our schedule. |

Photographs and other forms of media that appear within pages of this website, are the personal memories of people from the Fakenham area, who have kindly given their written consent for us to digitally archive and display them. We acknowledge that some material may be subject to copyright or public privacy regulations and therefore invite anyone questioning such issues, to write to us at, Fakenham and District Community Archive.
